Last weekend Lily started cutting her first tooth. She actually grabbed my finger and put it on the tooth ridge. As if she was saying "Mommy, what is this?" It has since broken through but not gotten very tall yet. I think she is working on it's neighbor because she is still fussy and chewing on everything in sight. Poor little bean is not very happy about her new teeth.
She is otherwise doing very well. She is getting bigger by the day. She is out growing everything. There are some outfits that she outgrew before it was warm enough to wear them. :( We have the big girl carseats in the cars now. She is eating lots of different things now. She loves anything that she can feed herself. Cereal puffs are what she is best at. We tried cheerios but she had trouble getting them broken down enough to swollow them easily. We tried cut up bananas but she just smushes them everywhere- funny but messy. She has taken to popcorrn but that was an accidental thing.
Here are some more pictures from Lily's photoshoot. We are really happy with them. They turned out great!

Is it me or are these getting less frequent?
Life in the Barbour household is busy as ever... well at least for me. Lily and Brian have settled into a daytime routine. It is largely centered around her naps. And it is not uncommon at all for me to come home to them both still in their pj's. So I went and bought Lily a bunch of cute pjs so at least she will be cute all day.
She is really mastering sitting up. She can correct herself and get herself back up if the boppy is under her. She hasn't mastered sitting up from the laying position yet but it's coming. She also leans/dives forward when she wants something and often ends up on her tummy. I figure it won't be long until she gets her knees under her and just crawls to whatever she is trying to get.
Lily is enjoyong all sorts of baby food these days. She loves oatmeal, peaches, yogurt and these cinnamon rasin granola mixes. She does not care for peas or meat containing mixes. She wears her food quite well. :) She loves cereal puffs and is mastering her hand-mouth coordination. The sippy cup is also tons of fun for her but is sort of a pain for mommy and daddy- she either slings it around because the non-spill valve is in and the juice doesn't come out or she pours it all over everything, including herself, but drinks a little without the valve. We do a lot of laundry. :)
She continues to be the happiest little baby you've ever met and makes us smile constantly. She babbles and laughs and smiles alot. She is so much fun. Here a few pictures of her discovering grass.
We had professional photos done last weekend and most of you have seen them via email or facebook. We only have the preview ones so far... more to come. In other good news we will be traveling to Florida end of May. We'll be going to Melbourne and then Ft. Lauderdale. We are very excited though a little nervous about sich a long drive with Lily. Wish us luck!
These are just photos of her eating. :)
And playing...
