We had a wonderful quiet Christmas. Lily got a ton of new toys! We played and played and played with them. We ate bunches of turkey- anyone want some leftovers? I know it's been a while since I posted but all the same I'll keep this one short and sweet. And full of pictures!!!
And here are some pictures from Grandpa and Aunt Kelly's visit.
October was a busy month. It was full of lots of working and a 5 day trip to Boston for Infectious Diseases Society of America's annual meeting. The meeting consists of a bunch of lectures and research presentations. It was my 1st time away from Lily. I missed her terribly. Grammy Linda and Kenny came to visit and help Brian while I was away. Lily had a ball with her visitors.
I am still looking at jobs. I have my first interview in 2 weeks and I have been invited for another but I am waiting to schedule it. I am hoping to decide on a job by New Years. There is a lot to do to. I have to get a license in a new state, get credentialed at a new hospital or hospitals, sell our house and move. I guess I am getting a little ahead of myself- I have 8 months left of fellowship. But alot of these things take time.
Little Lily changes just about everyday. She is now toddling around the house at full tilt. Sometimes she appears to be running. She has 3 out of 4 of her 12 month molars. The kid seems to be constantly teething. I am hoping this ends soon. She is imitating us more, which is really quite funny. She continues to be the absolute best part of my days.
Here is a video of her playing indian tonight and a bunch of pictures including some with Grammy and Kenny.
Since our last post Lily has gone mobile. She walks pretty well, though she is still uncertain a lot of the time. She seems to get bigger and faster by the day. We went through more teething with nothing but the point of a canine tooth to show for it. We discovered that she really likes to go for walks in the stroller. She has always loved being outside and so I guess the stroller rides combine relaxing motion and being outside. Even when she's super fussy the stroller seems to calm her down.
I've started more actively looking for a job. I hope to meet a couple potential employers at IDSA (national infectious disease conference) at the end of the month. I'll keep you all posted about my progress but keep your fingers crossed for me. That's about all that's new around here. This video was just us hanging out before bed tonight. And a few pictures from Lily's 1st birthday photo shoot.
