It is with sadness that I report that we traded the MINI yesterday. I knew this day was coming- the MINI was simply too small. A rear facing car seat and my adorable little car were practically imcompatible. Not to mention the lack of trunk space and all the stuff that goes with baby. So I started doing my homework last month. Researching small SVUs and their reviews, ratings and prices. I narrowed it down to a Nissan Rogue or the Honda CRV. Then I started looking for good deals. Well this week I found a good deal. A 2009 Nissan Rogue which had been the dealerships service loaner. It had never been titled to an individual and only had 11,000 miles. So Brian and I drove over to Greensboro (30 minute drive) to check it out. The car had been sold 30 minutes before we got there.
I had been in contact with their internet sales manager to make sure that the car was still available. So we were chatting with him and he told us that he could get us close to the same price on a 2010. So we listened to him, test drove the car and ultimately bought it. He gave us a good deal- hard to walk away from that. So I had to say goodbye to the MINI. Now I have a Mommy-mobile.
It's really a cute car. It has good rating and reviews- gets good gas mileage and has lots of airbags and safety features. But I think that it's going to take some getting used to. It feels very high up and very big after driving a MINI for 2 years.
Nice car glad to know all our kids will be safe. Enjoy the new car smell it will go away to soon

I'm so proud of you, doing all the homework and the two of you making a good decision. The SUV looks great but you are right it will take some time getting used to. But when you do you will love it!!! Mom
