Moving Fast

Over the last week Lily has gone from clumsy army crawls to full on crawling, with the occasional scooter move (she puts one knee down and uses the other foot to push herself- usually on the wood floors). She is no longer semi-mobile. If I leave her in the living room and go into the kitchen to get something, she follows me! We made her a baby fort last weekend- a section of the living room is covered with blankets, pillows and toys. She really seems to like it. She also likes to climb and to empty her toy bins. She likes to empty boxes in general. She has been helping Daddy sort through boxes from his office this week.  She has been trying to stand on her own. She lets go but only for a second or 2. She wobbles and we generally catch her. If she lands on her bottom she cries for a minute.
She has been teething this week. The 6th tooth (on the left of her 2 center teeth) is coming down. She has had some trouble sleeping and been kind of fussy. Even when she's fussy she's still so much fun. Overall she has kept that very sweet disposition. She is very sweet.
I have started my job search. I have sent out 3 CVs (academic resumes). I have gotten some interest already and even had a phone interview this week. It is a relief to know I will be competitive and able to fid a job. I am not planning to make any decisions or even travel for interviews yet. I want to see what is out there. I am really hoping to be consider for a position at UCF. They have built a new medical school and I am told that they will be hiring sub-specialty faculty in late Fall. I think that would be an ideal job. I am not sure how good of a candidate I am when it comes to an academic job. We will see I guess!
