This week was a little more eventful than we like. Tuesday night Josie broke into the lazy susan- despite the baby lock on it- and the pugs helped themselves to the contents. Did they eat the rice or the the lentils? Nope. They got the baking chocolate. The one thing in there that could hurt them. So we spent the evening on the phone with the vet, trying to make the pugs vomit. What a goal.... Xander did cooperate but Josie never did. So then I had to keep monitoring her heart rate (one of the signs of toxicity is tachycardia). She is fine. But what a pain.
Then Thursday night I can home feeling crummy. Within a couple hours I had full blown GI bug. Before the night was over- about 6-7 hrs- Brian had it too. We spent the night taking turns hugging the toilet bowl. No fun! Miraculously Lily was spared. So thankful for that! Brian and I are better today, still operating at about 70-80% but much better.
Lily has come through the week bautifully. She is standing alone for a few seconds at a time. She'll pull herself up and steady herself then let go. She lasts 5-10 seconds before grabbing on or plopping down. We took out this dinosaur walker toy but she's not steafy enough yet for it- it moves out from under her too quickly. But she now loves standing at her music table. She canget herself up and down from it. Oh I forgot that part- what's more important than learning to stand? Learning to sit down! She figured that out this week. She's going to be walking before we know it. In the meantime she gets around pretty well crawling.
Not a whole lot of videos or photos from this week. But here is a video from this morning. Lily loves to unpack boxes...
how cute. She loves boxes.
