GI Bug vs. Pregnancy

I missed my first day of work in 2 and a half years. My theory is that I have the GI bug going around. Others seem to think it's pregnancy. Either way the end result is nausea, vomiting and low grade fevers; as a bonus a lovely petichial (tiny red/purple spots) rash on my face and neck. I guess that's what happens when pale white girls puke too much.
So I am home recovering today and some poor second year had to cover my clinic this morning and my ER consults this afternoon. Turns out I missed an interesting clinic. One of my more difficult patients went off on the receptionist and was fired from clinic. So one less ornery old man to treat. I bet he made a huge scene though.

I guess the word is out too. Thanks for the congrats Aunt Ann. I am guessing that my Dad is responsible for spreading the good news. No one can keep this secret. Good thing that doesn't bother me too much. Just as long as the people at work don't find out yet. I can't imagine that they will as thrilled as Brian and I are about our baby news.

  3. Sorry you're feeling under the weather. Hope you are feeling better today. Over all, I agree with dad, I hope you take an extra day off to rest. But I don't need to see a picture of your petichial rash. I know from personal experience what it looks like when pale white girls puke!
